The successful candidate will have project experience in the sector from conception to construction. The role will be client facing requiring excellent communication skills, technical knowledge and familiarity with the UK Planning and Building Regs systems.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering retail projects
  • Client facing experience
  • Ability to travel including full driving licence
  • Experience in AutoCAD essential

AEW are seeking a proactive and confident Planning Consultant to join a busy architect’s practice in Manchester City Centre.

Main duties include:

  • Carrying out planning research and providing planning guidance to architects and designers
  • The preparation of, submission and monitoring of planning applications.
  • Preparing and producing reports including design and access statements.
  • Taking the lead as Planning Policy Champion for the practice.

The successful candidate will be working independently to support architects and designers and must be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, they will be responsible for planning and organising their own workload.

Experienced receptionist required for a busy architect’s practice (maternity cover to commence in July 2017).

The main duties include directing calls and greeting visitors, setting up meeting rooms and general admin duties such as booking travel, typing and putting your organisational skills to good use as part of a support team within a 64 strong practice in Manchester City Centre.

Key skills and experience:

  • Previous reception experience in a professional services setting essential.
  • An excellent communicator with a calm, friendly and polite welcoming nature.
  • Highly organised with excellent Microsoft office skills.
  • Previous experience in a HR Admin support role and or as a QA Administrator would be advantageous.
