What we do
Energy and Environment
AEW have been involved in a number of Energy from Waste, Water Treatment and Materials Recovery Facility projects.
Key amongst these are major resource recovery facilities to process residual municipal solid and commercial waste (post recycling) to generate electricity and heat for adjacent users. In addition, these schemes include plants to process the bottom ash arisings to provide recycled aggregates for the construction industry and further reclamation of ferrous and nonferrous metals.
AEW have also designed Materials Recovery Facilities for separating recyclates from commercial and industrial waste, and in designing wastewater treatment works across the North West of England.
