Museums, Galleries and Theatres
We believe Museums are most successful at reaching their audiences and fulfilling their duty when they express the personality of the institution in its architecture and not the personality of the architect. The most exciting challenge for AEW as designers is to incorporate history-based mission of an institution with the needs of a 21st century building and its audience. We have been involved in major Museum projects and have had the privilege of developing a great understanding of the evolution of this particular building type. Our design philosophy is guided by the unique and individual nature of a Museum - its undertaking, location, community, and client. We have worked with a number of specialist consultants in this sector exhibition space allowing us to develop our understanding of exhibition space can enhance a Museum's program and collections to delight the audiences served.
