Reimagine out-of-town retail parks for the year 2030 and beyond, adding a requirement for future-gazing to an already challenging brief. How might architects transform the environmental sustainability of these parks? How can they improve efficiency, transport and logistics? And, above all, how can they ensure that these destinations remain attractive to shoppers of all ages?

Following over 70 entries, we were selected via submission and interview to take part in the final charrette. Our concept considered how to combine digital technology with bricks and mortar and the role artificial intelligence might play in future shopping experiences.
