A new 175,000ft² logistics facilities for the British Aerospace Engineering supply chain delivered with a data-rich asset model.

In collaboration with BAE's BIM and facilities teams, we used this project to test and push the boundaries of how technology can help deliver and maintain buildings. Developing employer information requirements [EIR], BIM execution plans [BEP] pre and post contract, the project followed a BIM level 2 route and set the benchmark for future BAE projects. Collaboration technologies were exploited to share data rich models from concept to completion and into the management phase.

Our BIM Manager was acknowledged by BAE for his personal skills, knowledge and commitment to this project by recommendation for their prestigious Chairman's Award. We acted as BIM Coordinator on the project, Information Manager for BAE and trainer and guide for the whole team!

The logistics facility is located on the Samlesbury Enterprise Zone, building under a Local Development Order. The facility is a bespoke yet flexible building including a mezzanine, temperature controlled and ambient storage.
