Eamon O’Hara is Promoted to Director

We’re delighted to share that Eamon O’Hara has been promoted to the role of Director.

Having joined the practice as a Part 1 student in 2006, Eamon has risen through the ranks, qualifying as an architect in 2011, becoming an associate in 2014 and associate director in 2017.

The first person in the practice to attain registration as an RIBA Principal Designer, Eamon is an RIBA examiner who has led AEW’s Part 1 and Part 3 development programme for many years, ably assisting more than a dozen architects through the qualification process.

Instrumental in driving consistency and quality across the practice, Eamon found his niche in retail roll-out in 2013, leading work for several high-profile clients in the sector.

Alongside fellow director, Danielle Purves, Eamon leads the firm’s largest team, now 30-strong, which was responsible for 35 per cent of the company’s turnover in the 2024/25 FY.

Andy Rainford, managing director  said: “A graduate of the ‘AEW plus academy’, Eamon’s tenure has been nothing short of brilliant and we’re so happy for him.

“Not only is he an architect with the skills required to meet the demands of fast-paced, retail roll out workstreams, but Eamon has helped pioneer our approach, policies and procedures in response to the Building Safety Act and changes to the Building Regulations.

“The time is certainly right to recognise and reward the very significant contribution Eamon has made and continues to make to the practice and it’s an apt way to mark his 20th year at AEW.”
