Congratulations to Maddie on becoming our newest Architect!

A huge congratulations to Maddie Woodhead on passing her RIBA Part III examination and interview – becoming our newest Architect!

Maddie joined AEW in 2021 as a Part I after graduating from the University of Liverpool, returning as a Part II following her MArch at the Manchester School of Architecture. Since then, she has built strong experience across the industrial and residential sectors, including playing a pivotal role in the innovative Cheadle Eco Business Park for Stockport Council, leading the delivery of Viking Way for Clowes Development – completed earlier this year – and supporting Sale West Phase 3 for Irwell Valley Homes.

Balancing project responsibilities with her studies, Maddie has progressed through a structured programme of coaching, mentoring and continued learning aligned with our Part I and II Pledges.

Dave Somers, Associate Director, said:

“We are really proud of Maddie for passing her RIBA Part III, which is a testament to years of hard work and a reflection of her expertise and determination. It’s fantastic to welcome another qualified architect to the team, and we look forward to supporting Maddie’s continued development throughout her career.”

With her studies complete, Maddie has resumed her role as Co-Chair of AEW’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, where her passion has driven a series of EDI-focused CPDs and events. She also recently joined Material Source’s roundtable, “Isn’t designing for EDI in the workplace just design?”. Maddie’s ongoing work is helping to strengthen EDI knowledge and engagement across the practice and the wider industry.
