We’ve Welcomed a New Director to the Board

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve welcomed Mark Turner to the Board of Directors as we look towards another year of continued growth.

Mark joined AEW in 2015 as a BIM Manager and since then has revolutionised the practice’s approach to 3D design and information management. He has developed a team of in-house experts, putting us at the forefront of Building Information Modelling and digital transformation. More recently, Mark has taken a leading role in upskilling our team, clients and partners in the Building Safety Act. This has included presenting at the Building Safety Summit alongside eminent speakers such as Dame Judith Hackitt.

Andy Rainford, Managing Director said:

“It’s fantastic to recognise the significant contribution of Mark with his promotion to Director. Not only is he an absolute expert in his field leading our BIM agenda, but he has also been instrumental in transforming our practice management processes and IT systems and will add great strength and resilience to the board”.

Alongside Mark, we’ve also promoted Karey Wardhaugh to Head of People, Meg Wood to Associate and Sam Gallimore to Senior Technologist.

Karey Wardhaugh, who joined AEW in January 2023, has been promoted to Head of People to lead our People Strategy and Central Resources Team. Meg joined AEW as a Graduate Interior Designer in 2015 and has been made an Associate and will continue to lead our restaurant reimage work for longstanding client McDonald’s. Finally, Sam Gallimore has become a Senior Technologist in recognition of his knowledge, skills and years of experience. Sam recently became a Chartered Architectural Technologist.

The promotions form a key part of our strategy to continually review and improve the business as we look to expand both in size and geography. The changes will allow us to better manage our now 100+ strong team and continue to provide the highest standard of service to our new and longstanding clients.
