We believe in architecture as a force for good. We lead by example, setting ambitious business sustainability targets while supporting our clients in achieving their own sustainability goals. Our approach is underpinned by a commitment to continuous improvement, both internally and with the wider industry.

Peter Bartley
Head of Sustainability
Peter has extensive experience providing energy and sustainability consultancy services across a broad range of sectors. He has been at the forefront of whole life cycle assessment methods since 2018 and has specialist experience carrying out whole life cycle assessment, dynamic building modelling and advising and informing BREEAM and net zero strategies. In addition to leading the Sustainability Team, Peter oversees AEW’s “Sustainability Influencers”. Together they drive continuous improvement in minimising our corporate and project environmental impacts.
Naomi Clare
Sustainability Manager
As an experienced Architectural Technologist, Naomi has subsequently followed a passion for sustainability and completed an MSc in Sustainability and Adaptation in the Built Environment. Naomi now combines her technical and sustainability knowledge as a full-time member of the sustainability team. She utilises her architectural experience across all AEW’s specialist sectors from feasibility to post-occupation to lead in delivery of Building Performance Modelling and Embodied Carbon consultancy services.
Sean Hicks
Associate
Sean has a proven track record of delivering large scale residential projects across the country, working closely with client and contractor teams to develop strategic delivery plans, ensuring design information is on time and fit for purpose. As Lead Designer/Consultant he has extensive experience managing internal architectural and wider consultant design teams to deliver these objectives.
Charlotte Dixon
Sustainability Consultant
Charlotte is an Architectural Engineering Masters Graduate with an excitement for contributing towards projects that align with net zero carbon targets. Now a Sustainability Consultant, she uses her technical knowledge and experience to produce Life Cycle Assessments, carry out building physics modelling and produce decabonisation strategies. She is also a member of the Sustainability Ambassadors and actively participates in spreading sustainability knowledge to the rest of the practice through researching and presenting complex data in a clear fashion.
