AEW joins the Manchester @ MIPIM 2026 Partnership

With the end of 2025 in sight, we’re making plans for Spring 2026. Of course, March is the month where we dust of our suitcases and make our way to Cannes for one of the biggest built environment events in the calendar. At MIPIM 2026, Phil Hepworth and Mark Massey will be representing AEW as part of the Manchester @ MIPIM Partnership.

A global platform for collaboration

MIPIM is one of the world’s leading real estate conferences, bringing together developers, investors, local authorities and built environment professionals from across the globe. It’s where cities showcase their ambition, where ideas are exchanged, and where relationships are built that shape the next generation of projects.

For Manchester, it’s an opportunity to demonstrate the strength, creativity and collaboration that define the city’s approach to growth, and to show how local expertise is helping to shape sustainable, resilient places for the future.

Our commitment to Manchester

We’re a Manchester-headquartered practice and we’re deeply invested in the city and the region that surrounds it. Manchester has shaped who we are and continues to play a central role in our work.

Joining the Manchester @ MIPIM Partnership this year is a natural step for us. We’re excited to contribute to the wider conversation on how the region grows, using our experience across housing, commercial and mixed-use projects to help inform what comes next.

Delivering projects that drive change

Our recent and ongoing projects across Greater Manchester reflect the scale and ambition of the region’s development pipeline. From Moor Lane in Bolton and Stockroom in Stockport to Oldham Spindles and Embassy Village in Manchester, we’re helping to deliver schemes that unlock opportunity and improve lives.

Projects such as the Sale West Masterplan, Cheadle Eco Business Park and Stretford House demonstrate how thoughtful design can support local ambition, create better places and drive long-term social and economic value.

At MIPIM, this experience will form a good foundation for conversations around the future of Manchester.

Shaping the city through collaboration

We’re not just passionate supporters of Manchester because of the work we do across the region. We’re proud patrons and participants across multiple local organisations and causes.

Our team play an active role in shaping the city’s built environment through professional and civic engagement.

  • AEW and Peter Bartley are part of the Manchester Climate Ready Partnership
  • Andy Rainford contributes to the GM Chamber Property and Construction Working Group
  • Charlotte Fuller sits on the Manchester Society of Architects Board and
  • Rob Foster is an active member of the CIAT North West Regional Committee.

As signatories to the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter, we’re also committed to supporting fair work and responsible growth across the region.

Supporting our community

That same commitment extends into the community. We continue to support a range of charities and organisations that make a real difference in the region, including Ronald McDonald House, Walking with the Wounded, the Steve Burne Charitable Trust, City of Trees and Lifeshare, among others.

Looking ahead to MIPIM

We’re looking forward to joining the Manchester @ MIPIM Partnership delegation in Cannes, championing the projects, partnerships and people that make Greater Manchester such a dynamic place to design and build.

Manchester has been a welcoming home to AEW. We believe that architecture is a force for good and MIPIM will be a springboard for us to pursue the continuous improvement that sits at the heart of our approach.
