Masterplanning

Working for Magnitude Land LLP, a joint venture between Tritax Symmetry and NPLL, we have developed the masterplan for Ma6nitude, providing up to circa 1.8m sqft of industrial, manufacturing and logistics space, strategically located less than 2 miles from Junction 18 of the M6.

Practical Completion on the first two speculative units of 149,000sqft and 41,000sqft, built out as a Tritax Symmetry only scheme, was awarded in August 2022 amid strong occupier interest.

Love Hearts and Squashies maker, Swizzels Matlow, has signed up for a 156,000 sqft facility on the site, currently under construction. The investment represents a significant expansion of the confectioner’s existing manufacturing capability at New Mills. It forms the first phase of a potential 458,000 sqft overall development for Swizzels at Middlewich.

Immediately north of the Swizzels development, we helped secure a detailed consent for up to 238,000 sqft to deliver a single-sided or cross-docked unit and in June 2021, another significant outline planning application for almost 1m sqft of employment space on land south of Cledford Lane, west of the proposed Middlewich Eastern Bypass, was approved.

Prior to the joint venture, we worked on the masterplan for Pochin Property under the Midpoint 18 banner as Cheshire East’s key strategic employment allocation, including the delivery of a 350,000 sqft distribution unit occupied by Go Outdoors.
